Ephesians 3

1For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of the Christ, Jesus, on behalf of you—the non-Jewish nations— 2assuming, of course, you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you: 3that by a revelation the mysterion was made known to me, as I wrote to you briefly before. 4By reading that, you are able to perceive my insight into the mysterion of the Christ. 5In other generations, this was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostoloi and prophets by the Spirit: 6that the nations are joint-heirs, members of the same body, and joint-sharers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the evangelion.

7I became a servant of this evangelion according to the gift of God’s grace given to me through the internal working of his power. 8To me—the very least of all the holy ones—this grace was given: to announce the good news of the untraceable riches of the Christ to the nations, 9and to bring to light for everyone what is the stewardship of the mysterion which has been hidden for ages in God, who created all things. 10This was done so that the multi-faceted wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms through the ekklesia, 11according to the purpose of the ages which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12In him we have boldness and access with confidence through his faithfulness. 13Therefore, I ask you not to lose heart over my afflictions on your behalf, which are your glory.

14For this reason, I bend my knees before the Father, 15from whom every family-lineage in the heavens and on earth derives its name. 16I pray that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner person, 17so that the Christ may take up residence in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, having been rooted and founded in love, 18may have the strength to grasp, together with all the holy ones, what is the breadth and length and height and depth— 19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled until you reach all the fullness of God.

20Now to him who is able to do far beyond all things—exceedingly more than we ask or even imagine, according to the power that is at work within us— 21to him be the glory in the ekklesia and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
