Galatians 6

1Brothers and sisters, even if someone is caught in some false step, you who are led by the Spirit should restore such a person in a spirit of gentle strength. Keep a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. 2Carry one another’s heavy burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of the Christ. 3For if anyone thinks they are something important when they are nothing, they are merely deluding themselves. 4Each person should scrutinize their own work; then they will have a reason to boast in themselves alone and not by comparison to someone else. 5For each person will have to carry their own individual load.

6The person who is being instructed in the Word should share in all good things with their instructor. 7Do not be led astray: God is not to be sneered at. For whatever a person sows, this is what they will also reap. 8The one who sows into the soil of their own flesh will reap a harvest of decay from the flesh; but the one who sows into the Spirit will reap a harvest of the life of the Age to come from the Spirit. 9Let us not lose heart in doing what is noble, for at the proper time we will reap if we do not give up. 10So then, as we have the opportunity, let us work for the good of everyone, and especially for those who belong to the household of the faith.

11See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. 12It is those who want to put on a performance of outward appearance who are trying to force you to be circumcised. They only do it so they will not be persecuted for the cross of the Christ. 13For even those who are circumcised do not keep the Law themselves; they simply want you to be circumcised so they can boast about your flesh.

14But may it never be that I should boast in anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world-system has been crucified to me, and I to the world-system. 15For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything; what matters is a new act of creation. 16And as for all who will align their lives by this standard—peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

17From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I carry the stigmata of Jesus branded on my body. 18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.
