Revelation 22
1Then he showed me a river of the water of life, radiant as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the middle of the city's broad plaza, on either side of the river, was a tree of life producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there will no longer be any accursed thing. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his bond-servants will offer him priestly service. 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5Night will be no more, and they will have no need for the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine upon them, and they will reign as kings throughout the ages of ages.
6And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his bond-servants what must take place with speed.”
7“And look! I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me. 9But he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”
10Then he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11Let the one who does injustice continue to do injustice, let the filthy continue to be filthy, let the one who does justice continue to practice justice, and let the holy continue to be made holy.”
12“Look! I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to repay each person according to what they have done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have authority over the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates. 15Outside are the dogs, the ritual druggists, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices a lie.
16I, Jesus, sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David, the radiant morning star.”
17The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life as a free gift.
18I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are described in this book.
20The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. “Come, Lord Jesus!”
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with everyone.
