Romans 16
1I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a diakonos of the ekklesia in Cenchreae. 2I ask that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the holy ones and assist her in whatever matter she may need from you; for she has been a patron to many, including myself.
3Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow-workers in Christ Jesus, 4who risked their own necks for my life. It is not only I who thank them, but also all the ekklesiai of the nations. 5Greet also the ekklesia that meets in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the first-fruit of Asia for Christ. 6Greet Mary, who has labored so hard for you. 7Greet Andronicus and Junia, my compatriots and fellow-prisoners, who are outstanding among the apostles and were in Christ even before I was. 8Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord. 9Greet Urbanus, our fellow-worker in Christ, and my beloved Stachys. 10Greet Apelles, who has been tested and approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus. 11Greet Herodion, my compatriot. Greet those in the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord. 12Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, workers who labor in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who has labored hard in the Lord. 13Greet Rufus, the chosen one in the Lord, and his mother—who is a mother to me as well. 14Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers with them. 15Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the holy ones with them. 16Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the ekklesiai of Christ greet you.
17Now I urge you, brothers, to keep a watchful eye on those who cause divisions and create stumbling blocks contrary to the teaching you learned. Turn away from them. 18For such people are not serving our Lord Christ but their own stomachs; through smooth talk and flattery, they deceive the hearts of the guileless. 19The report of your obedience has reached everyone, so I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise regarding what is good, and untainted regarding what is evil. 20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
21Timothy, my fellow-worker, greets you, as do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my compatriots. 22"I, Tertius, the one writing down this letter, greet you in the Lord." 23Gaius, who has hosted me and the whole ekklesia, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, greets you, as does our brother Quartus.
